1Win Kenya: Comprehensive Terms and Conditions
Participation on the 1win Kenya platform is reserved exclusively for individuals who have attained the legal age of 18 years or older. Any confirmed attempt by a minor to circumvent this rule will result in the immediate and permanent termination of the account, and all funds and winnings will be forfeited.
Identity Verification and Due Diligence
To maintain legal compliance and prevent financial crime, all Users must fully cooperate with the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) procedures.
- Accurate Data Guarantee: You must provide personal details that are current, accurate, and verifiable, including a valid Kenyan National ID or Passport and proof that your mobile money account is registered in your own name.
- Source of Wealth: You affirm that all monies deposited into your 1Win account are derived from legitimate sources and are not the proceeds of any criminal activity.
Account Integrity and Responsibility
You assume full responsibility for all activities initiated from your account.
- Credential Protection: You are obligated to ensure the security of your unique username, password, and any associated security PINs.
- Reporting Breach: The Company holds no liability for losses resulting from negligent handling of credentials. You must report any suspected or actual security breach to Customer Support without delay.
Financial Management and Regulatory Deductions
Deposit and Withdrawal Protocols
1Win Kenya facilitates secure financial transactions predominantly via registered local mobile money services (e.g., M-Pesa, Airtel Money) in Kenyan Shillings (KES).
- Ownership Rule: Deposits must originate from a funding source held in the same legal name as the registered 1Win account holder for fraud prevention purposes.
- Default Payout: Withdrawals will automatically be sent to the most recently used and verified mobile money number or bank account on file.
Mandatory Tax Obligation (WHT)
In line with the current Kenyan Finance Act, all gross winnings are subject to a compulsory 20% Withholding Tax (WHT).
- Company Deduction: 1Win Kenya is legally required to calculate and deduct this 20% tax at the point of payout.
- KRA Remittance: The deducted amount is then remitted by the Company directly to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). The User receives the net amount after this regulatory deduction.
Service Fees
While we generally absorb transaction costs, the Company reserves the right to impose reasonable service or administrative charges on accounts exhibiting unusual deposit/withdrawal patterns that generate excessive network or processing costs.
Betting Rules, Settlement, and Voidance
Circumstances for Voiding Bets
1Win Kenya reserves the right to unilaterally void (return stake at odds of 1.0) any wager under the following integrity-related conditions:
- Pricing Error (Manifest Error): Where there is a demonstrable error in the odds, line, or handicap due to human error or technical fault, creating a clear misrepresentation of the true market price.
- Post-Start Wagers: Any pre-match bet placed after the official start of the event will be voided, unless the market is explicitly designated for Live Betting.
- Syndicated Betting: Where a group of Users is reasonably suspected of manipulating a bet or exploiting a loophole.
Postponement and Reschedule Policy
- 48-Hour Validation: If a fixture is postponed or temporarily suspended, the bet will remain valid and active provided the fixture is completed within 48 hours of its initially scheduled start time.
- Cancellation: Should the event not be finished within the specified 48-hour period, or if it is officially cancelled, all related stakes will be immediately refunded.

- Limit Setting: Users are encouraged to actively set and manage their own deposit and staking limits through the account interface.
Account Suspension and Closure
- Breach Termination: The Company may immediately suspend or permanently close an account without notice if a material breach of these T&Cs is identified, including submitting falsified information or engaging in money laundering.
- User Request: You may close your account at any time by contacting our support team. Note that data will be retained for the minimum legally required period afterward.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Legal Framework
Formal Complaint Procedure
Any Customer dispute related to bet settlement, payout amounts, or account status must adhere to the following:
- Written Submission: A formal written complaint, including the specific bet ID, date, time, and full details of the grievance, must be submitted to the 1Win Customer Support team within seven (7) calendar days of the disputed event.
- Internal Review: The Company endeavors to review and provide a definitive ruling within 14 working days. The Company’s audited records and transaction logs will be the conclusive evidence in all bet settlements.
Legal Jurisdiction
Should the matter remain unresolved after the internal process, the User retains the right to escalate the dispute to the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) for final legal review. This Agreement and all associated rights and obligations are governed solely by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
